CENTRO ABERTO PROGRAM
The strategy used to transform the city includes, not only new street network, but also new ways of using the streetscape. In Sao Paulo, until now, urban projects only focus on physical transformations and large infrastructural projects. CENTRO ABERTO Program is based on how people behave, how individuals take ownership of streets, and what types of programs are needed to encourage this change.
Our contribution:Enhanced projects design and management procedures, with Centro Aberto Program to renew Sao Paulo’s public spaces uses. Transformed public space’s uses through pilot projects implementation.
